OTTO’s Role in Orion’s Journey
As Orion traveled more than 240,000 miles from Earth during NASA’s Artemis II mission in April 2026, it marked a historic return to human deep space exploration—carrying astronauts beyond low Earth orbit for the first time since 1972. In NASA's 2025 “How to Fly Orion” video, astronauts Reid Wiseman and Victor Glover showcased the Orion spacecraft, which has now successfully circumvented the Moon.
OTTO is proud to have supported this milestone, as well as earlier NASA missions, with critical control and navigation components that enable precise operation in deep space. From earlier space shuttles to Artemis, which will have new missions in the coming years, OTTO continues to deliver integrated control solutions that help turn exploration into reality.
